By joining a committee you will gain valuable work and team experience and it will be an excellent addition to your CV. Pick your favourite committee below and contact the committee head to join! The workload is minimal and there is only one meeting per week/two weeks (depending on the committee).

Activity Committee

Creating and organising our many fun activities. This committee comes up with ideas, think about the execution and sees the plans and activities come to life together.

You will learn about organisation, communication, expand your imagination and build connections with the association and external parties.
PR Committee

Tasks
All kinds of promotions. This committee takes care of the social media (like Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn), the website, merchandise, posters, this magazine and much more!
Skills you’ll gain
You will learn about how to communicate and interact with external parties and how to attract an audience with content. You will build your teamwork, organisation and content editing skills (e.g., Canva).
Open Stage Committee

Tasks
Responsible for putting together the end of the first semester show which acts as a mini showcase! This committee keeps everything running smoothly by making a dance schedule, setting up the location, finding a photographer and videographer and many other things!

Here, you will learn how to organise and execute an event and build your organisational and communication skills. You will learn how to work together with a group towards one goal and learn how to be assertive to external parties.
Showcase Committee

Tasks
Putting together the best showcase possible! This committee has to work out a theme, make a schedule, find a photographer and videographer, prepare the lottery and much more!

You will build your organisational and communication skills. You learn how to work together with a group towards one goal and learn how valuable it is to be assertive to external parties.
NSDW Committee

Tasks
Responsible for organizing the NSDW (Nationaal Student DansWeekend) 2025! During this weekend, all student dance associations from the Netherlands came together to compete, party and participate in workshops! It was a huge success and lots of participants commented on it being the best weekend ever!
Skills you’ll gain
Here, you will learn how to organise a large scale national event. You will be working on communicating with external parties, coming up with creative ideas for the theme and the workshops and promoting the event.
Lustrum Committee

Tasks
Responsible for the best parties and activities this next academic year (2025-26) as it is our lustrum year! A lustrum year (once every 5 years to celebrate the association’s birthday) is a whole year filled with activities that are just a little more special and extravagant than normal (to celebrate the anniversary of the association!). This committee will have a lot of influence in, for instance, organizing a big trip, planning a gala, planning extra special workshops, bringing all sister associations together and making this the best year ever

You will learn how to plan large scale activities and events and how to be organised in doing so. You will learn how to work in a group towards a collective goal.
Financial Committee

Tasks
Making sure all the finances are in order, especially before the GMM to make sure all the finances are correct before presenting them to the members, and checking the work of the Treasurer throughout the year. This committee also approves the annual budget at the start of academic year.
Skills you’ll gain
You will get an insight into how the finances of the association are handled. You will learn how bookkeeping for an organisation works and how money is allocated and managed to ensure it is being used in the best way for the members!
Donor Committee
Only those who are donors of DanceNation can join this committee.
Committee Head: Yara Bekkering
This committee organises the donor activity that will happen once a year to thank the donors for donating money to the association, this way we have a fun activity with them. The activity involves only the donors and the board.
This committee does not have a regular meeting schedule since it is only one activity per year. Thus, the closer they get to the activity, they will start meeting.
Demo Team Committee
Only the team captains of the 4 demo teams can join this committee.
Committee Head: Yara Bekkering
This committee is the link between the board and the demo teams. The Chair communicates about possible performances the demo teams get asked to do and then the team captains will tell their demo team if they are interested and available for the opportunity. You will mostly learn how to communicate efficiently here.
